jolizon590016
Hi. I recently retired my MSI FX720 17" notebook (i5 2400 + Nvidia GTM520), I have changed the hdd with a Seagate hybrid FireCuda but didn't experience much performance gain using IC. I was planning to get a Lenovo Thinkpad E585, but the HP15-DB0125AU 15.6" Laptop (https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06060302) was available on store than the 2-3 week shipping for the Thinkpad. The good news. It works well with IC2018DCS with one model file / small assembly and the ICD document. It can handle the graphics fairly well compared to my FX720 but slows down the after constant 8-10 assembly model rotation. By the way KeyShot was running too. I think this due to the 8 GB installed memory that is shared with the Vega 8 integrated gpu. HP support can't confirm if I can add another 8 GB module as CPU-Z indicates 2 so-dimm slot, compared to customize feature available on the Thinkpad. But....... I will buy a pair of kingston 8 GB DDR2400 and I will give a feedback. Edited October 5, 2018 by jolizon590016
Cary OConnor
If the real-time rendering is on in KeyShot, it will zap the performance a bit. You can always pause that when you need resources. Cary
jolizon590016
It ran Dariusz test kostek well but in the same behavior after 8 to 10 constant rotations. my previous model had shaded edges and and hidden lines shown. Surprisingly no hesitation/lag on the start of mouse rotation compared to my desktop with a Radeon WX4100.

jolizon590016
SPECviewperf 13 ran with issue: creo-02 didn't run any, maya-05 only 2 test worked. This must be a driver issue. But what works is presented:
jolizon590016
I was able to upgrade the graphics to Radeon Adrenalin 18.7.1 with Radeon ReLive working as it recorded the videos. I've used a Space navigator for rotation. The first video consist of sheet metal barrels. Each barrel has 371 holes a total of 21,518 from 58 barrel pcs. Surface smoothness is set to 50 and a file size of of 158 MB. Total parts 1856. Please note that the model was on intellishape and not as a brep. An all shape regeneration took 7:23 mins. Ryzen 7 1700X on stock clock did it in 3:34 mins., while Ryzen 7 2700 did it 3:08 mins. 2018.10.27_12.48.mp4 The second video is from the Turbine model set at default from the file tested. This one took 1:40 mins to all regenerate. 2018.10.27_12.56.mp4 End of test. Edited November 3, 2018 by jolizon590016
