PMILLER
I have been unable to find a way to shut the perspective camera (Button F9) Off by default. I find it to be an annoying and not helpful view when I am building parts in Ironcad, but every time I open a new scene, the first thing I have to do (or something I always do a minute or two after starting to draw) is shut off the perspective Camera. Is there a way to turn it off by default. I have tried saving a new template, that has it turned off, but every time I create a new scene using that template, it is back on. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Patrick
dleczynski
Open Blank scene, turn off the perspective and save as template or past C:\Program Files\IronCAD\2017\AppData\PL-PL\Template\Scene\Metric No_per.ics Edited January 4, 2018 by dleczynski
IronKevin
This has been fixed in version 2018. In 2018, you can save a Scene template with Perspective off and it will remain off when starting up using that template. This was not working in 2017 and lower versions. dleczynski
It works with every version. Even IRONCAD2011. Blank scene 3D is the first in the default tab.
IronKevin
Looks like that is correct but for all the other templates it will work in 2018.
PMILLER
Thank you, I appreciate the feedback. I cannot get it to work in the 2017 version, but when I used the file attached to this it does work. Needless to say I wonder why, but knowing that this is a known issue and fixed in 2018 helps. This is not a major issue, just something I do/deal with every time I use the program. Patrick
