You just turned a light on for me.
Experimenting with Caxa [my first week]... I imported a tittleblock as a BLOCK from AutoCAD [containing nested text attributes]...
One of the imported text strings when opened in Caxa had unfamilair programing jargon. Your links have shown what what it was...

I recall making my template [quite some years ago] and to get some existing Acad txt to fit a box I scaled it down. That has obviously showed up in CAXA as the 'formatting codes' you have posted.
e.g. Text Height = \H3x;

Now I can manipulate imported Acad text in situ.
Each little tip removes a little more mystery...
