HDEAR
I have just developed Rheumatic Arthritis. It hit me like a bolt out of the blue 4 weeks ago. I am just awaiting specialist advice to be able plan what happens next etc. Meanwhile, even using the keyboard and mouse now is painful. I am sure I am not the first to be confronted with this and so I was wondering does anyone else suffer from RA or do you know someone who does and still carries on doing CAD work? What sort of aids do they have? What type of mouse do they use? Is there a special keyboard that would help? ..etc, etc. Any help or stories about experience overcoming this horrible condition would be much appreciated. Whilst CAD is not my main focus in my job, it is a very helpful selling to to 'design on the fly' and I win a lot of work this way. Thanks. tlehnhaeuser
Hi Harley, I am sorry to hear that as well. My wife is an AMMA therapist and wholelistic nutritionist. She has helped some RA patients thru her AMMA therapy ( deep tissue massage) although not a cure, it has helped reduce the pain and provide some relief even if temporary. I will ask her if theres anything else you can try and get back to you. As for CAD, I know decades ago a program Think3 that dabbled with voice commands. They are basically defunct now even though they have a web presense. Maybe theres some sort of third party application that can help. Just a thought. until later. tlehnhaeuser
Harley Spoke to my wife (btw shes been doing this for 25 years). She has RA patients and they swear this all helps. They take medication as prescribed by Doctor. I'm sure your doctor has already done this. Wife, says to basically avoid nightshade foods. https://www.healthline.com/health/nightshad...nd-inflammation And heres the "wierd" stuff. Although potatoes are a nightshade food, simply holding a potato helps reduce the pain from arthritis. She has clients that swear it works. You can also juice a potato and drink if so inclined. Just cant eat them. hope this helps Tom
