  1. Guys' an gals at IC... - Enjoy your Xmas holidays, with peace in your mind, knowing you have made a tremendous job with the IC2014. It runs so smooth, fast and elegant. Damn! It's good! So, best xmas wishes from me to all of you. Best wishes to all of the rest of punks in this forum too. ratata
  2. - Dear God. That easy? I've spent hours trying to get out of my misery...and all it took was a simple press of a key? Thank you so much! Case closed.
  3. - My laptop renders, what I think, damn good real time renderings. Fast as well. The dedicated renderings are of course even better. A while. After some time of modeling, dedicated renderings just goes nuts. It has nothing to do with the size of the part, complexity or anything else. Have a look at the attached pictures. The first picture is real time rendering. Always perfect. The second is when dedicated rendering breaks up. I have tried everything and are out of options now. New graphic drivers, different graphic drivers, DirectX, OpenGL/2 etc. Different settings in rendering. Different everything. Anyone got a hint? Or am I stuck with this until I get myself a new laptop with some new graphics in? The graphics card I'm talking about is Nvidia GeForce GT 435M.
  4. When's the last day for contributing? Btw, for the model to be useful showing integration with KeyShot, are there any special requirements?
  5. - Haha, that was exactly what I meant when I wrote 'faking the coil'. Funny. Anyway, I searched the trick you mentioned but came up with no luck. Remember more?
  6. I've noticed when using very tiny helixs, like in different kind of voice coils where the copper wire is very thin and long, the file yielded tends to get very large. The example with the voicecoil in the attached files made the file 16 MB large even when trying to combine shapes as much as I could. When faking the coil, the file shrank to less than 1 MB. This makes me wonder if there are ways I'm unaware of, to keep a realistic file size? Or maybe tiny but complex shapes like a voicecoil just consumes large amounts of data, and are therefore better left out temporarily when you just wish to render?
  7. - Neat! Thanks. Case closed. Me happy!
  8. - Hello folks! I am, with no doubt, something of a beginner in making things shine in IronCAD. Since I'm a former programmer and know you can't just send a file to someone to have a look on it, you must also send all dependencies belonging to it, to make it work as intended... ...makes one wonder (me wonder), what dependencies does an *.ics file really have? Is everything needed embedded? All textures, bumps and decals?
