Yucheng Liu
Hi, all, I am trying to customize my own hotkeys on IC2018 permanently. But each time when I start computer & IC, all my own settings goes back to the default setting. For example I remove the "W" from "Look at" and assign it to "Wireframe". But It will go back to system settings when I restart computer. Does anyone know how to do it or remove the all system default setting? Also where and how should I transfer my old setting to new revision? Thanks,
Cary OConnor
It sounds like you may not have permissions. Can you right-click on the IronCAD.exe and run as administrator? If so, try to set the hotkey under that mode and see if that resolves your issue. If you can't run in that state, you may need to get elevated permissions so that you can save the data properly. Yucheng Liu
Hi, Cary, I have tried to do it as what you told. The IC still has the same problem. Also I got another problem on Drawing by doing this, the problem is that when I make a copy of current page, it shows blank without title block and IC freezes too. About the hotkeys, could you please tell me where the files save in IC? Then I just copy my old file to IC2018 by using administrator. Guest TCHITANDA
Hello Yucheng, This issue of IronCAD freezing perform a certain type of sheet copy has been filed for investigation by R&D team. The customization files are in the following locations. C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\IronCAD\IRONCAD\20.0\Customization C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\IronCAD\IRONCAD\20.0\en-us\Customization Please delete them and attempt to set your new hot keys. If this does not resolve the issue, it may be a permission issue. Entering UAC in the Start Menu search bar should pull up the "Change User Account Settings" from here you should be able to change your permissions to allow you to make changes to Windows.
