  1. This is one of the chronical issues for the combination of 3D CAD and animation application application for photo-realistic image and animation creation. Export file format for 3D CAD is so limited and there is no format to be imported into 3D animation package like 3D Studio max, Cinema 4D, Maya and also KeyShot. Only obj or 3ds might be used for 3D CAD while 3D animation tools prefer to get FBX, DAE or Collada file format for compatibility. 3D CAD now supports photo-realistic rendering feature and supports GI as its feature, so it can create superb quality of image. But it is not rendering or animation tool but design tool, and 3D artists don't use 3D CAD for image and animation creation. And 3D designers usually don't know how to create photo-realistic image & animation creation for visualization. The reason why KeyShot has success is simply two as follows; 1.It is easy to use hence the 3D designers who don't know about GI and sort of can use. They don't have to set the complicated attributes like lighting, shadow, and so on. 2.It creates really high quality rendering in real time. So designers can create the high quality of image for front panel of new TV, for example, then they print it out in real TV size, and then put in in the room to evaluate the design with their boss and customers. At this kind of design review, there might be some pointing for the design change. Then designers do the change there using 3D CAD and then send it to KeyShot for revised image in a min. Anyway, it is a real challenge for the 3D visualization artist to import the 3D model from 3D CAD. Sometimes different parts with same color are grouped as same part, textures are not transferred, and so on. Some sort of more effective way is needed in the workflow from 3D CAD to 3D rendering & animation tool, anyway... JH
  2. Current Mousepad has no problem to use with normal ball-mouse. But lots of users are now using Optical mouse here and it has some issues with the current mousepad. So current mousepad is not a good combination with optical mousepad. Instead of Mousepad, more practical one like USB on IronCAD logo must be much better for the users. And IronCAD logo on that usb will be more widely noticeable to more people, which is good for marketing. JH
  3. Ooops! Sorry for new A6.iam. I arranged two different Inventor files for your further test; one is Korean and the other is Englsih file name, and these two files are a little different. Inventor_Eng.zip Inventor_Kor.zip
  4. If this is a bug for Inventor assembly file, then the same thing must be happened with Pro/E assembly file and SolidWorks assembly file too. So pls check with Pro/E and SolidWorks assembly file which has multiple same sub-assemblies in the file. JH
  5. Here is the file again with simple English name. Inventor.zip A6 is the main assembly, so pls import A6 file. JH
  6. We created some part and then sub-assembly in Inventor. And then, we patterend this sub-assembly and also bring this assembly multiple times to create one assembly. And then finally, we import this final assembly into IronCAD, then only one sub-assembly is imported and the rest are disappeared. Pls look at the scne1.ics attached. Scene1.ics Pls test with the attached zip file which has sub-assembly and final assembly named 조립도6.iam. Inventor.zip By the way, if we test this with severla same part to create a assembly, then all the same named parts are imported corectly. That means this problem happens when we import assembly having multiple same named assembly in the scene. JH.
  7. When we import Inventor Assembly, then some parts are not imported at all. In Inventor, they open the same part as many as they need and then assemble them as shown in the following image. But if we import this assembly file into IronCAFD, then only one part is imported and the rest of that parts are not imported at all. So user should link that part and assemble again in IronCAD 2012 PU2. Is this normal?? What about in SW and Pro/E?? JH
  8. I'm not so sure if we could do that because they are extremely busy, but I will try. Is there any differences in between IC 2009 and IC 2011/IC 2012 with regard to the graphics?? And anything else we should check?? J.H.
  9. Our customer has two HP Z400 workstaion with Quadro FX 3800 and Quadro FX 4000 each. IronCAD on these two systems shows a really slow performance. When formatted the system, then it works fine, but it become so slow soon or later. So there seems to be some issue for IronCAD(maybe HOOPs) with Quadro series. JH
  10. If CAXA Draft portion is holding the release, then it would be better to release as it is especially for users who don't use CAXA Draft. (Still lots of people don't use CAXA Draft because of lack of features and instability even though it is really nice with its AutoCAD like U/I.) JH
  11. Anybody here to recommend the low priced sheetmetal design solution??? JH
  12. 1.TriBall 2.Extrude Wizard 3.Spin Wizard 4.Chamfer Edge 5.Blend Edge 6.Hide Unselected When it comes to the improvement of the commands or process; 1.Enable the Window Zoom with mouse only. Ex)Wheel + LMB Drag for Window Zoom 2.Both-side copy with TriBall 3.Shortcut for TriBall commands such as move, copy, link copy, pattern, to point, to center point, to mid-point. Ex)Select the TriBall Handle and hit the short cut for the above commands. 4.Ability to repeat the commands. Ex)RMB to repeat the command just completed. 5.Virtual ruler to measure the distance or size or to snap, when select TriBall or Sizebox 6.Additional option for constraints when Mate & Align Positioning 7.ESC key in Positioning Constraints undo just one latest constraint not all the constraints since the last Apply 8.Option for Box selection to exclude the view in Drawing 9.Command to create widely used catalog such as block, cylinder, custome hole. 10.Command to edit the tooltbl.txt Ex)Tools>Options>Stock List
  13. As far as I know, in mechanical drawing usally, I didn't see the drawing having the views with different configuration in the same drawing. But might be needed for other application such as house and booth design. If I have to do, then I will create one view and then create other view again with different config. (Or maybe I can create all view T.F.R, and then change the config in the view of T by access the properties in right mouse button menu in that view. JH
  14. I definetely need bi-directional because it is essential to make real-world mechanism easily. With Uni-directional solving, I have to think about really carefully how to apply the Smart Dimensions between the parts before to make mechanism simulation. And if solving direction between some parts in the assembly, then we have to rework from the scratch in most cases. Even for the long-time users of IronCAD here want to have birectional which is really intuitive and it works as they think. And unidirectional behavior is one of the hurdle and harde to understand for new users from other 3D CAD tools. (Almost of the 3D CADs were unidirectional before, but now they all support by-directional.) Simply Smart Dimension should be a kind of dimension constraints between the parts. JH
