Chris Lohman
As people are installing 5.0 I am gathering tips that might help insure your install works smoothly. I will be posting them here. The first tip is this: IronCAD 5.0 is not an upgrade, it a full new version. You therefore need to uninstall any previous version of IronCAD before installing 5.0. After uninstalling the previous rev, it is highly recommended that you reboot your system before installing 5.0. On that note, it really would be a good idea for everyone that has installed a couple of revs of IronCAD in the past to go through the cleansing process that I outlined in my post here: http://www.ironcad.com/support/community/index.php?showtopic=258 If you have installed a few revs in the past then there is most likely some stuff left over from old revs that isn't being used and could very possibly get in the way. While it isn't required, I see very often in tech support that insuring you are completely free from legacy files insures a solid install of IronCAD and I therefore highly recommend it.
